Pumpkins and Family
Fun at the Farm!

We welcome you and your family to visit our Wisconsin Rapids farm for pumpkins and family fun this fall, and for strawberries in June. We look forward to offering you fun family times and quality produce at our farm. Thank you for your patronage over the years.

FREE Activities

  • Tractor-driven hayrides to the pumpkin patch, including a Drive-thru Corn Maze:
    • Saturdays 10 am - 5 pm
    • Sundays 11 am - 4 pm
    • Starting Sat. Sept 20 thru October
  • Boot Hill Cemetery:
     Read the funny tombstones!
  • Cornstalk Tunnel:
    Fun for kids!
  • Pumpkin Catapult: Watch pumpkins fly!
    • Saturdays at 11 am to Noon
      & 3 pm to 4 pm
    • Sundays at Noon to 1 pm
      & 3 pm to 4pm

Other activities

  • A cute Spook House:
    not too scary for little tykes! New items each year! Open on weekends.
  • Walk-through corn maze
  • Mini Corn Maze for Little Tykes!
  • Horse-drawn hayrides to the Pumpkin Patch
    on weekends from Sept. 27 through Oct. 26
    • Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm
    • Sundays 11 am - 4 pm
  • Straw Fort made of BIG bales for kids and the young at heart!
  • Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin from our 8 acre patch or from the already picked pumpkins on the wagons.
  • Fall farm produce and Halloween decorations, including caramel apples, gourds and cornstalks.

PICK-YOUR-OWN & Already Picked STRAWBERRIES:

The 2008 strawberry season starts Thursday, June 19. We have picking every day at 6:30 a.m.  Other picking times (see below) depend on picking conditions.  Please call ahead for that day's picking times and to order Altenburg's own already picked strawberries.  715-421-2943

Monday thru Friday:
6:30am welcoming pickers until 11am
4pm welcoming pickers until 7pm

Saturday & Sunday
6:30am welcoming pickers until 3pm

Friday, July 4:
6:30am welcoming pickers until 11am

* Once the season starts we have picking EVERY DAY starting at 6:30 a.m. Other times are subject to picking conditions. Please call ahead (715-421-2943)


Special Family Event

Free Horse-drawn hayride to strawberry patch. Sunday, June 29 - Noon to 3pm
